With the matching template and structure, you can now start writing!

We will briefly introduce some of the functions that are important when writing a text. The topic of quoting is covered in a separate section.

Images

Images are inserted via the format bar. To find out which image formats are supported, we recommend our support forum.

You can enter a title for the image. If you want to add further explanations (which are not supposed to appear in the list of figures), we recommend using <Enter> in the figure caption box to insert notes. This can, for example, be used for source references concerning the illustration.

Tables

Tables can be inserted as images or as editable tables. If you have already created a table in Excel or Word, you can copy and paste it directly to SciFlow.

Similar to illustrations, titles and notes can be used.

Equations

For a long time, we have researched how equations can be expressed optimally and how to meet the expectations of different departments. We have concluded that LaTeX is the most suitable variant.

Using Insert Formula, a formula can be written in LaTeX code. If you want to use a less technical, but more visual editor, click on "Help" to get a link to Wiris equation editor.

Via Wiris you can enter equations visually. A LaTeX code will be generated automatically, which you can copy into the SciFlow formula field.
