Similar to Word, quotations can be entered as free text. If the paper uses more than 20 sources, we recommend the use of a reference management software to benefit from automatic formatting and bibliography.

SciFlow supports the import from Citavi, Endnote, Mendeley, Zotero, and all programs that support a Bib-LaTeX export. The support forum contains instructions for each of these applications.

After importing, all imported references appear in the sidebar.

Sources can be dragged and dropped to where they should appear in the text.

You do not use reference management software yet, or you think using one is too complicated?

Then we recommend zoterobib - the easiest way to manage a relatively small number of sources. It allows you to create your references, download them as BIB LaTeX and upload them to SciFlow.

The Bibliography

Added sources appear in the bibliography (a special H1). The chapters in which a source has been used are displayed. Formatting according to a citation style is executed during export.

Take-away Tip 5

The use of a reference management software such as Citavi, Mendeley, or Zotero pays off. Beginners can achieve a lot with zoterobib.
